BLOOM Holiday Candlelight

December 5, 2024 – North Kansas City, MO

🎄 This year’s BLOOM theme was butterflies! 🦋 Each family was given a butterfly ornament to take home for their own Christmas tree.  

🎄 Our Glass BLOOM Block is filled with over 250 gems, colored either Pink, Blue, or Crystal Clear.  Each gem represents a baby remembered at one of our meetings/events dating back to 1988.  Pink representing all the baby girls, blue representing the baby boys, and crystal clear representing the babies whose genders remain unknown.  35 years later after our humble support group begun and we still continue to recognize, remember, and honor the babies who are no longer with us, but forever a part of the BLOOM family.

🎄 BLOOM support group members were able to participate in a Christmas Card Collection.  Members brought Christmas goodies for each of the babies in our support group for families to take home and place in their baby’s stockings on Christmas Eve.  No empty stockings this year for our babies! We don’t need full stockings to remember our babies this Holiday Season, but a Christmas Card Collection sure helps make the heart full! ❤️

🎄 We enjoyed delicious food! From cookies, cupcakes, pasta salad, charcuterie boards, and more! We hope those present left with not just full stomachs, but full hearts too.  Thank you for making this year’s Candlelight a memorable event and for helping to bring comfort to the grieving hearts of your fellow bereaved parents who attend our monthly BLOOM meetings.  2024 may be filled with much angst and sorrow, but together we helped make the year a little more bearable when the year brought us to our knees.
