2024 Walk To Remember

Each October, memorial walks are held across the nation in honor of National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month.
Emilia’s Wings is honored to offer this private remembrance ceremony to all past and present BLOOM support group members and their families. BLOOM is a monthly support group for parents who have lost a baby due to miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss. This year’s Walk To Remember will be held on Saturday, October 5th at 2:00 pm.
We look forward to remembering your babies with you and celebrating their lives in a meaningful and special way. By gathering together to walk in our babies’ names, we keep their memories alive and offer support to one another. Whether marking a recent loss, or one that occurred several years ago, we encourage parents and loved ones to come walk for the steps our babies will never take.

How Does Our Walk To Remember Work?
> So that we may plan accordingly, please RSVP for the walk by texting/calling Charmel Clough. Please include the number of people in your party, your baby’s name, and your baby’s memorial date(s). If you are no longer able to attend or the number in your party changes, we kindly ask that you update your RSVP.
> Our Walk To Remember is a private event. All past and present BLOOM members (and their families) are welcome to join us! Remember ALL AGES are welcome to attend!
> This year’s walk will be held at the E.H. Young Riverfront Park. We will walk along a 1.3 mile concrete loop trail that lines the riverfront of the Missouri River.
> Our event will include refreshments.
> T-shirts are optional and will be available for purchase. T-shirt sales is our sole fundraiser and helps to offset the costs associated with our special events and activities throughout the year. More details can be found here.
> Please submit your RSVP for the walk by Thursday, September 5th to ensure your baby’s name is included on the back of our shirts. This is also the last day that t-shirts orders can be placed.
